A WAVY COLD FRONT NEAR THE NORTH COAST THIS MORNING WILL MAKE SLOW
EASTWARD PROGRESS AND SHOULD BE NEAR PORTLAND AROUND NOON AND NEAR
THE CASCADES LATER THIS AFTERNOON. PRECIPITAITON WILL BE HEAVY AT
TIMES NEAR THE FRONT ESPECIALLY AS WAVES TRAVERSE NORTHWARD.  ASTORIA
RECEIVED OVER AN INCH AND A HALF OF RAIN OVERNIGHT AND WINDS BUMPED
UP INTO THE GALE CATEGORY NEAR THE FRONT THIS MORNING.  WINDS WILL
FALL BACK TO SMALL CRAFT OVER COASTAL WATERS AS THE FRONT MOVES
INLAND. SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THURSDAY AS ANOTHER VORTICITY MAX
ROTATES AROUND THE OFFSHORE LOW.  SHOWERS TO END THURSDAY NIGHT AS
MAIN TROUGH LIFTS OUT TO THE NORTHEAST AND HEIGHT BEGIN TO RISE.

EXTENDED...EARLIER TREND OF BUILDING RIDGE AND WARMING TEMPS OVER

An unseasonably wet weather system brought heavy rain to Northwest Oregon. Storm totals from the Coast Range were in the 2 to 4 inch range, while along the coast totals were in the 1 to 3 inch range. In the Cascades, storm totals ranged from 0.75 inches to 2 inches. In the western valleys amounts ranged from 0.5 inches to 1.75 inches. There were no reports of damages.
