Thunderstorms ahead of a cold front crossed the western Finger Lakes region and eastern Lake Ontario counties during the morning hours. The storms produced damaging winds which downed trees and power lines across the area. In Clayton, Jefferson county, the winds tore a portion of a roof off a house. In Lewis county, power outages were reported from Lowville to Brantingham Lake.
