STRONG LOW OFF THE COAST WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH HEAVY SNOW...ESPECIALLY
OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS ACROSS THE SIERRA AND NORTHEAST CA TODAY.
CURRENT RADAR AND SATELLITE SHOWING A BREAK IN THE PRECIPITATION
ACROSS CENTRAL CA BETWEEN FIRST WAVE WHICH HAS PUSHED INTO THE SIERRA
AND WESTERN NEVADA AND THE NEXT BAND OF PRECIPITATION WITH THE
DEVELOPING SURFACE LOW OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST. WINTER STORM WARNING
ACROSS SIERRA AND NORTHEAST CA LOOKS GOOD FOR TODAY THROUGH TONIGHT.
HOWEVER...WITH DEVELOPING SURFACE AND UPPER LOW BELIEVE THE MAIN AXIS
OF PRECIPITATION WILL SHIFT TO SOUTH BY MONDAY MORNING. WILL ANALYZE
FURTHER MODEL DATA AND MAKE DETERMINATION LATER TODAY. SOUTHERLY TO
SOUTHEAST WIND IN MANY VALLEY LOCATIONS BEGINNING TO INCREASE THIS
MORNING. HOWEVER...IF WE KEEP THE CLOUDS AND LIGHT PCPN AROUND THIS
WILL NEGATE CHANCE OF ADVISORY OR WARNING TYPE WINDS LATER TODAY. WILL
KEEP FORECAST AS IS AND MONITOR SITUATION CLOSELY. ADAMS
