SYNOPSIS...LOW PRESSURE OFF THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST WILL
CONTINUE TO PUMP MOISTURE NORTH INTO THE GREAT BASIN THROUGH EARLY
WEDNESDAY. THEN...HIGH PRESSURE WILL SLOWLY BUILD INTO NEVADA AND
REMAIN THROUGH FRIDAY.

SHORT TERM...SNOW CONTINUES TO FALL IN OUR SOUTHERN ZONES. ALTHOUGH
METAR OBSERVATIONS AND SPOTTER CALLS INDICATE SNOWFALL IS LIGHT BUT
STEADY. MOISTURE PLUME IS RUNNING INTO UNFAVORABLE DYNAMICS OVER
OUR NORTHERN ZONES AND CLOUDS ARE DISSIPATING. 00Z JET ANALYSIS
SHOWS JET IS DECOUPLING FROM THE UPPER LEVEL LOW SO DO NOT EXPECT A
LONG MOISTURE PLUME STRETCHING ACROSS OUR ENTIRE CWA TONIGHT. SO
WILL DROP THE SNOW ADVISORY FOR ELKO COUNTY...ALTHOUGH WILL LEAVE IT
UP FOR THE RUBY MOUNTAINS. WILL ALSO LEAVE WINTER STORM WARNING UP
FOR OUR SOUTHERN ZONES AS WAVES OF MOISTURE COULD STILL GENERATE

Six to twelve inches of new snow fell across southern Lander and southern Eureka counties. Eight to twelve inches of new snow fell in the area from Elko northeast to Ryndon. Up to six inches of snow fell at the Newmont mine 20 miles north of Carlin. Eight inches of new snow fell just south of Ely.
