Considerable freezing rain fell, producing icing which caused many vehicles to slide off roads. Some tree and power line damage was reported. The freezing rain was followed by snow and blowing snow. New snow accumulations were 1 to 3 inches, and winds gusting over 40 mph caused the blowing snow. Travel was impossible in some places due to the icing and the blowing snow. Some businesses were closed.
