THERMAL RIDGE MOVING ACROSS MONTANA OVER THE NEXT TWO DAY FOR
CONTINUED HOT WEATHER. SHORTWAVE TROF LIFTING OUT OF GREAT BASIN
RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIFTING RIDGE AXIS EAST AND WILL ALSO BRING A
CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TO THE REGION MAINLY MONDAY NIGHT AND
TUESDAY. MODELS COMING INTO AGREEMENT WITH SPLITTING THE WAVE AS IT
MOVES INTO IDAHO. A FEW TIMING DIFFERENCES BUT ONE PORTION SHEARS
EASTWARD ACROSS WYOMING UNDER THE RIDGE TONIGHT AND MONDAY. SECOND
PORTION OF WAVE MOVES NORTH THROUGH IDAHO UNTIL ENCOUNTERING STRONG
NORTHWESTERLY FLOW TO PUSH IT EAST ALONG INTERNATIONAL BORDER MONDAY
NIGHT AND TUESDAY. THIS SECOND WAVE WILL BRING COLD FRONT ACROSS
STATE TUESDAY PROVIDING FOCUS AND TRIGGER FOR THUNDERSTORMS. EBERT

EXTENDED...NW FLOW ALOFT OVER ERN MT WITH RIDGE AXIS NEAR
CONTINENTAL DIVIDE ON WED WILL TRANSITION TO RIDGING ALOFT OVER ERN
MT BY THE WEEKEND. 12Z AVN APPEARS TO BE SLOWER IN BRINGING THE
RIDGE EAST THAN THE 00Z MRF AND KEEPS ERN MT IN NW FLOW ALOFT INTO
FRI. WITH A GENERAL LACK OF SHORTWAVES THROUGH THE PERIOD...WILL
