Thunderstorm wind gusts downed trees and power lines in the Ste. Genevieve area. A lightning strike hit a major circuit south of Ste. Genevieve along Route M knocking out power to more than 7000 customers in the north half of the County. The power was out for about 2 hours. Lightning strikes also knocked out computers at Ste. Genevieve City Hall and the city water plant.
