AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN MN 945 AM CDT SUN MAY 20 2001 SOME ISENTROPIC LIFT HAS AIDED DEVELOPMENT OF SHOWERS OVER SOUTH CENTRAL MN. 06Z ETA AND 12Z ETA HAVE ALSO INDICATED PERSISTENT 850-700 MOISTURE CONV FROM SOUTH CENTRAL INTO EAST CENTRAL MN THROUGH THE AFTERNOON UNTIL MAJOR TROF STARTS TO MOVE INTO WESTERN MN. STRONG DIFLUENCE FROM THIS TROF WILL CAUSE DEVELOPMENT OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER WESTERN MN THIS AFTERNOON...WITH RATHER WIDESPREAD PREICP PUSHING ACROSS MOST OF CWA THIS EVENING.
