ONE PERSISTENT BAND OF MAXIMIZED 850MB THETA-E ADVECTION IS SHOWING ITSELF IN MID-LEVEL RADAR RETURNS EXTENDING ESE FROM CENTRAL LAKE MI. THIS IS EXPECTED TO DRIFT SLOWLY NE OVERNIGHT. WOULDN/T EXPECT TOO MUCH OUT OF IT...AS IT SHOULD REMAIN (BARELY) IN THE STABLE AIR. BUT CAN/T RULE OUT SOME ISOLATED SHOWERS AS THE SLOW-MOVING BAND GRADUALLY SATURATES THE LOCAL AIRMASS. OF MORE SIGNIFICANCE IS THE MCS MOVING EAST AT ABOUT 50 KNOTS ALONG THE IOWA/MN BORDER. UNTIL RECENTLY...THIS MCS CONSISTED OF A SINGLE ELEVATED SUPERCELL...AND A LARGE PRECIP SHIELD TO IT/S NORTH. IN THE PAST HALF HOUR...ADDITIONAL CONVECTIVE ELEMENTS WERE NOTED IN NRN IOWA...WHILE THE SUPERCELL TRANSITIONED TO A BOW ECHO AS THE REAR FLANK DOWNDRAFT BECAME DOMINANT. THICKNESS FIELDS INDICATE A GRADUAL TURN TO THE ESE FOR THIS MCS...AND A SLOW RIGHT-HAND TURN HAS BEEN NOTED OVER THE PAST FEW HOURS. PLAN ON MENTIONING ISOLATED SHRA NORTHERN ZONES...THEN ALLOW FOR POSSIBILITY OF MCS ELEMENTS MOVING IN VERY LATE ALL ZONES (AFTER 4AM).
