MODELS SPITTING OUT SOME QPF ACROSS CWA THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON...HOWEVER NONE ARE HANDLING CURRENT AREAS OF PRECIP VERY WELL. MODELS HAVE SHORTWAVE PUSHING OUT INTO WESTERN PLAINS THIS MORNING AND WEAKENING AS IT MOVES EAST THIS AFTERNOON. DEWPOINTS HAVE DROPPED DOWN INTO THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 50S OVER NORTHEAST KANSAS BEHIND STORMS EARLY THIS EVENING. THESE SHOULD REBOUND BY THE AFTERNOON HOURS. WITH TEMPS IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 90S AND HINT OF APPROACHING SHORT WAVE...CAPES IN THE 3000-4000 RANGE...WILL LEAVE 30 PERCENT POPS FOR THE AREA. WILL GO WITH MAINLY THIS AFTERNOON...BUT WILL HAVE TO WATCH MID CLOUD DEVELOPMENT THAT IS OCCURRING OVER PARTS OF NORTHWEST INTO NORTH CENTRAL KS. MODELS HAVE H850 MB TEMPS WARMING INTO THE 21 TO 23 DEGREE RANGE AND HAVE WINDS IN THE 30 TO 40 KT RANGE BY AFTERNOON. WILL GO WITH HIGHS 90 TO 95. SOUTH WIND 20 TO 30 MPH CENTRAL AND 15 TO 25 EAST. TONIGHT...WILL CONTINUE SOME LOW POPS FOR EVENING HOURS...OTHERWISE LOW STRONG LOW LEVEL JET OVER AREA. NOSE OF JET AND BOUNDARY WORKING NORTH OF AREA OVERNIGHT THUS ANOTHER REASON FOR MENTIONING POPS ONLY IN THE EVENING HOURS. MONDAY...LOOKS WINDY AND VERY WARM OVER THE CWA.
