SUMMARY...FRESH TRADE WINDS AND THEIR SHOWERS WILL LARGELY END THIS
WEEK END AS THE DRY AIR AHEAD OF BARBARA ENTERS THE STATE BUT LOOK
FOR SHOWERS FROM BARBARA TO ARRIVE MONDAY.

DISCUSSION...A FEW SHOWERS ARE NOW PASSING THRU THE ISLANDS..IT HAD
DEPOSITED AS MUCH AS AN INCH ON OAHU WHILE MOST MAUKA AND WINDWARD
SECTIONS ON OTHER ISLANDS RECEIVED LESS THAN HALF AN INCH. MOST OF
THESE SHOWERS WILL END LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT AND LEAVE SATURDAY
AND SUNDAY QUITE DRY.

A WEAKENING BARBARA WILL BE DOWNGRADED TO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION
AT 11 AM THIS MORNING AND SHOULD DISSIPATE BY TONIGHT. HOWEVER ITS
REMNANT SHOWERS WILL BE BROUGHT IN BY THE PERSISTENT TRADE WIND
FLOW...BIG ISLAND SUNDAY EVENING..THE REST OF THE STATE MONDAY.

SURF...AN EASTERLY SWELL FROM BARBARA WILL ARRIVE SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
