OVERALL SYNOPTIC AND MESO-SCALE FEATURES TO AFFECT SOUTHWEST AND
WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA THROUGH THE FORECAST PERIOD.

IN A BRIEF NUTSHELL...THE EAST TO WEST HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE AXIS...
OVER THE LOW AND MIDDLE PORTIONS OF THE ATMOSPHERE..WILL GENERALLY
REMAIN ALONG AND NORTH OF THE FLORIDA-GEORGIA BORDER THROUGH THIS
WEEKEND.

THIS EVENING...SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHWEST ALONG THE SEA BREEZE BOUNDARY AT 25-30
MPH. RAIN POPS WILL BE HIGHEST FROM TAMPA NORTHWARD THIS EVENING AS
ACTIVITY FILLS IN ALONG THE WEST FLORIDA COAST.

IN THE SHORT TERM...EXPECT LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP ALONG AND SPREAD NORTHWARD ALONG THE
SEA BREEZE CONVERGENCE ZONE FROM LEE COUNTY NORTH TO THE TAMPA METRO
AREA THROUGH FRIDAY. ACTIVITY SHOULD BE SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS.

FOR THIS UPCOMING WEEKEND...THE LONG RANGE AVIATION AND MRF MODELS
SUGGEST MID-LEVEL DRYING WITH CONTINUED EAST TO SOUTHEAST SURFACE
AND MID-LEVEL FLOW ACROSS THE PENINSULA.  THUS...WILL INTRODUCE
SLIGHTLY LOWER PROBABILITIES OF RAINFALL FOR THE EXTENDED PORTIONS

National Weather Service damage survey concluded that straight-line thunderstorm winds, estimated at 55 to 60 mph, caused damage to the tin roof of a home, downed a few large trees and several large branches on Lynway Road. Survey indicated that most of the thunderstorm wind damage occurred along a one half mile wide by 100 yard long path over rural northwest Pasco county.
