On Tuesday, July 10th, a cold front located across the Great Lakes moved east into central New York State by Tuesday night. Well in advance of the front, scattered strong to locally severe thunderstorms developed.

On Tuesday, July 10th, a cold front located across the Great Lakes moved east into central New York State by Tuesday night. Well in advance of the front, scattered strong to locally severe thunderstorms developed. One thunderstorm moved east across extreme northern Fairfield County, and produced dime-size hail in Sherman.
