CALIFORNIA THIS WEEK. COASTAL MORNING CLOUDS AND DENSE FOG MAY
LINGER AT SOME BEACHES EACH AFTERNOON.

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL DOMINATE OUR WEATHER THIS WEEK. 500 MB
HEIGHTS AND 850 MB TEMPS INCREASE SLIGHTLY...RESULTING IN A DEGREE
OR TWO OF WARMING EACH DAY IN MOST AREAS. IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE
HOT ALL WEEK WITH TEMPS WAY ABOVE AVERAGE. COASTAL TEMPS WILL BE
HELD SOMEWHAT IN CHECK BY THE OCEAN BREEZES
THE MARINE LAYER WAS AT 1200 FEET THIS MORNING...AND IT SHOULD
SHRINK A LITTLE AS THE HIGH BUILDS. COASTAL CLOUDS AND MORNING DENSE
FOG WILL BE A FACTOR EACH MORNING THIS WEEK...AND SOME CLOUDS MAY
PERSIST NEAR THE COASTLINE EACH AFTERNOON AS THE INVERSION
STRENGTHENS. THE MESO ETA SPINS UP AN INTERMITTENT WEAK EDDY AT
TIMES...MAINLY IN THE LATE NIGHT AND EARLY MORNING HOURS. A STRONG
PERSISTENT EDDY IS UNLIKELY WITH THIS SYNOPTIC PATTERN.
MONSOON ACTIVITY IS A NON FACTOR AT THIS TIME. HOWEVER...MID LEVEL
MOISTURE UNDERCUTTING THE BROAD RIDGE OVER THE SOUTHERN THIRD OF THE
COUNTY IS FORECAST TO INCREASE ACROSS NORTHERN MEXICO THIS WEEK.
SOME OF THIS MOISTURE WILL ADVECT INTO SE AZ AND NEW MEXICO...,AND
MAY FILTER INTO SE CAL LATE IN THE WEEK.
