EARLY THIS MORNING...WITH LIGHTNING NETWORK DETECTING OCCASIONAL
STRIKES ALONG THE FRONT. AMSU SHOWS VALUES AROUND .75 INCH
ASSOCIATED WITH PRECIPITABLE WATER PLUME. BUT WHAT THIS SYSTEM LACKS
IN MOISTURE SHOULD BE COMPENSATED BY STRONGER DYNAMICS. GOOD UPPER
DIFLUENCE OVER NORCAL THIS MORNING WITH HEIGHTS FALLING THROUGH THE
DAY. EXPECT A PERIOD OF HEAVY PRECIPITATION ALONG THE FRONT THIS
MORNING...THEN NUMEROUS SHOWERS IN UNSTABLE AIRMASS BEHIND THE
FRONT. BUFKIT SUGGESTS ENOUGH INSTABILITY TO CONTINUE THE MENTION OF
A THUNDERSTORM FOLLOWING THE FROPA.
SECONDARY SHORT WAVE SPINS AROUND THE BACK OF THE TROUGH TONIGHT
AFFECTING MAINLY THE COASTAL RANGE INTO OUR SOUTHERN VALLEYS. WILL
KEEP HIGH POPS MOST AREAS AT LEAST INTO THE EVENING...THEN DRY
THINGS OUT FROM NORTH TO SOUTH OVERNIGHT. ONLY LINGERING THREAT
OF PRECIP FRIDAY MORNING CONFINED TO THE SIERRA AND OUR SOUTHERNMOST
VALLEY ZONES. OTHERWISE...DRYING NORTHERLY FLOW COMBINED WITH NVA
RELATED SUBSIDENCE IN THE WAKE OF THE TROUGH SHOULD HELP TO KEEP
THINGS DRY MOST LOCALES.
