A Winter Storm Warning was issued for zones CAZ080/082 above 4000 feet at 1550 PST on 02/16/01 and allowed to expire at 0600 PST on 02/18/01. The first two reports listed above occurred just below 4000 feet, so it is likely that the warning should have been issued for areas above 3500 feet. However, the warning was anticipated well; A Special Weather Statement was issued at 1525 PST on 02/15/01 and a Winter Storm Watch was issued at 0431 PST on 02/16/01.
