SLIGHTLY DRIER AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE STATE THURSDAY...WITH A CHANCE OF AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONFINED TO THE EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE STATE AND THE MOGOLLON RIM. MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE STATE THROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND...WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EACH DAY EAST OF FLAGSTAFF. MOSTLY DRY CONDITIONS WILL AFFECT THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE STATE. .DISCUSSION...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEEN SLOW TO DIMINISH THIS EVENING WITH ACTIVITY CONTINUING ALONG THE MOGOLLON RIM AND OVER THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST. THESE FEATURES ARE SIMILAR TO LAST NIGHT AND THE CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY IS BEHAVING IN A SIMILAR MANNER. WELL-DEFINED OUTFLOW BOUNDARY IS NOW MOVING SOUTHWESTWARD ACROSS THE RIM AND WILL MOVE INTO THE LOWER ELEVATIONS THIS EVENING SO WILL NEED TO MONITOR FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF NEW CONVECTION DEVELOPING.
