Blizzard in Alaska, April 18 to 19, 2001
A building high over the central Arctic Ocean moved south increasing the pressure gradient along the northern and western coasts. Blizzard conditions developed over these areas, and were reported at Point Lay (Zone 201), and Kuparuk and Deadhorse (Zone 203).
