Heavy thunderstorm rains during the morning of the 1st caused flash flooding.Several small streams flooded from 7 miles southwest of Lexington to 5 miles southwest of Lexington, closing Route 611and flooding a basement. Carter Mill Creek flooded and washed out parts of Route 734 and Route 630 in the south portion of Bedford County.Several small streams flooded in the south portion of Rockbridge County, closing several roads.
