Thunderstorms during the late afternoon and early evening of the 11th produced damaging winds.Thunderstorm winds downed trees across Henry County, Campbell County, a traffic light in the City of Martinsville, trees and power lines in South Boston with 1300 residents losing power, 2 large trees at the intersection of county routes 790 and 672, three miles northwest of Gretna, a tree onto a car in Randolph trapping a person, and trees in Keysville. Thunderstorm winds in Altavista downed trees and tore the roof off of an old barn.
