Flash Flooding in Texas, June 9, 2000
A tropical depression in the lower Gulf of Mexico produce an influx of deep moisture into central Texas over the weekend of June 9th and 10th. Scattered, very slow moving showers and thunderstorms developed in the deep moisture, initially in the region along I-35 between Austin, San Marcos and New Braunfels.

A tropical depression in the lower Gulf of Mexico produce an influx of deep moisture into central Texas over the weekend of June 9th and 10th. Scattered, very slow moving showers and thunderstorms developed in the deep moisture, initially in the region along I-35 between Austin, San Marcos and New Braunfels. Rainfall totals of up to 4 inches caused widespread flash flooding over both city and county roads in the three county area.
