Thunderstorms from June 9-June 12 over southwest Texas and over northern Mexico during the evening of June 12 resulted in significant rises along the Rio Grande near the confluence with the Rio Conchos. The Rio Grande crested almost two feet above bankfull in Presidio. Five miles southeast of Presidio, the river rose one foot above flood stage, producing minor flooding of surrounding areas. Information concerning flooding along the Rio Grande was provided by the International Boundary and Water Commission in Presidio and via river gauge information.
