Snow fell much of the day across North Central Texas with widespread 1-3 inch amounts. The snow melted on streets and highways then refroze after sunset creating a sheet of ice. In the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area hundreds of accidents occurred. The DFW airport canceled hundreds of flights the day and night of the 31st.
