An isolated severe thunderstorm pounded the small northeast Throckmorton County community of Elbert with tennis ball to grapefruit size hail. Most of the buildings and vehicles in the town suffered some degree of damage, from cars dented and windshields smashed to severe roof damage to homes and businesses.
