Lake effect snow showers develop during the morning of the 27th. The snow first fell along the Lake Erie lakeshore then shifted inland as winds switched from the west to the northwest. Accumulations of 6 to 8 inches were reported in Erie and Crawford Counties. A peak total of 10.4 inches was measured at Franklin Center in southern Erie County.
