A very strong cold front moved across the area during the early morning. Gusty northwest winds across Lake Erie caused lake effect snow showers to develop. Up to 9 inches of snow fell in northern Crawford County. Wind gusts to 45 mph at the onset of the snow created white out conditions and considerable blowing and drifting.
