As the remnants from tropical system Gordon moved north along the Atlantic coast, rain, which was heavy at times, spread north across the area. The heaviest rain occurred east of a line from Montgomery to Monroe, mainly across the eastern third of Orange County.

As the remnants from tropical system Gordon moved north along the Atlantic coast, rain, which was heavy at times, spread north across the area. The heaviest rain occurred east of a line from Montgomery to Monroe, mainly across the eastern third of Orange County. Six hour rainfall amounts from 2 to 3 inches caused minor flooding of small streams and low-lying and poor drainage areas. NWS spotters reported minor small stream flooding along parts of Rte. 132 in Woodbury (a few miles north of Highland Mills).
