Thunderstorms roared across the Genesee Valley and Finger Lakes during the late morning and early afternoon hours. In addition to producing hail up to one inch in diameter, the thunderstorms produced damaging winds. Trees and lines were downed in Cattaraugus, Erie and Ontario counties with scattered power outages reported. In Shortsville, Ontario county, an 80-foot tree tore a hole in the roof and second story wall of a home on High Street.
