Thunderstorms with torrential downpours slowly drifted across eastern Atlantic County during the late evening of the 12th. It caused considerable roadway flooding. In Margate, 3.08 inches of rain fell within one hour. Numerous streets were flooded and closed. Storm totals included 5.53 inches at the Marina within Atlantic City, 3.10 inches in Absecon, 3.08 inches in Margate and 1.12 inches at the Atlantic City International Airport. No serious injuries were reported.
