Three to four inches of rain fell across parts of the Little Blue River basin from July 4th through the 5th. This included 3 inches at Fairbury. The heavy rains pushed the Little Blue River above flood stage at Fairbury from 1100 am CST on 7/6/00 until 1130 am CST on 7/8/00. Flood stage at Fairbury is 15 feet. The River Crested at 16.5 feet at 700 pm CST on 7/7/00. The flooding mainly just affected river bottomland and some Agricultural lowlands.
