Severe thunderstorms moved across west-central Missouri, affecting areas just north of the Missouri River. Numerous reports of wind damage were received. Reports of large hail were less numerous; however, small hail covered the ground in some locations, and was whipped into hail drifts.

Extensive wind damage was reported just southwest of Hale. A 50-by-60 foot machine shed and a 60-by-120 foot Morton building were destroyed, and farm equipment inside was damaged. A two car garage was destroyed, and a modular home suffered roof damage. Large trees and limbs were downed, and one limb fell on the roof of a home, causing damage.
