Average rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches caused flash flooding across the area. In St. Charles County, Dardenne Creek flooded closing Highways 40 and N. A baseball park along Highway N was also damaged. Numerous roads across the area were flooded and closed at various times. The majority of damage in the area was flooded basements.
