A cluster of thunderstorms developed along a slow moving front in southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas on June 23. As the storms pushed southeast into Missouri, large hail and damaging winds were reported in the far northwest corner of the state. The movement of these storms slowed, and the rest of the night was marked by nearly constant lightning and very heavy rainfall.
