Thunderstorms produced gusty winds and heavy downpours over portions of central Maryland during the early morning hours of the 15th. In Anne Arundel County, a total of 2.25 inches of rain fell at Jug Bay Wetlands. In Prince George's County, 2.00 inches was recorded in Patuxent River Park. In St. Mary's County, a total of 1.72 inches was reported in Hollywood. In Calvert County, lightning struck the roof of a home in Dunkirk. The resulting fire led to $110,000 in damage to the roof and second story of the structure. In Carroll County, 1.50 inches fell in Millers. Across the region during a second round of storms in the afternoon, winds gusted to 49 MPH at Washington National Airport, 55 MPH at Montgomery College, and 42 MPH in Hagerstown.
