Thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front which swept across central Maryland on the evening of the 18th. These storms contained large hail, heavy rain, frequent lighting, and wind gusts in excess of 55 MPH. In Montgomery County, dime sized hail fell in Dawsonville. In Prince George's County, 2.00 inches of rain fell in Bowie. In Anne Arundel County, 1.63 inches of rain fell at BWI Airport. A lightning strike damaged a roof of a home in Glen Burnie. In Charles County, trees were downed in Bel Alton.
