Thunderstorms that produced brief heavy rainfall and gusty winds moved across south central Maryland during the afternoon of the 4th. In Charles County, trees and power lines were downed and hail of unknown size fell. In Anne Arundel County, a total of 2.70 inches of rain fell in Annapolis. Road flooding was reported in Mayo and Potomac. In Calvert County, 2.37 inches of rain fell on Solomon's Island. In St. Mary's County, 1.67 inches of rain fell in California.
