A cluster of thunderstorms dumped heavy rains in east central Kansas on the afternoon of June 20. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches were common across Johnson County, and 3.47 inches fell at the Overland Park City Hall. Widespread flooding made many roads impassable for several hours.
