The third and final round of thunderstorms swept across the area during the evening ahead of a cold front. The storms produced some wind damage and several reports of flooding. Trees were toppled over in portions of Van Buren County. A 58 mph wind gust was measured in Keokuk in Lee County, which produced no reports of damage. Heavy rains, totaling as much as 6 inches for the day, in some locations, aggravated swollen creeks and streams. Water was reported covering roads throughout Iowa County, with flooding along Old Mans Creek into Johnson County. In Johnson County, street flooding was reported on First Avenue in Coralville and in North Liberty. Creek flooding washed a bridge out 2 miles south of Sunbury in Cedar County. King Avenue south of Stanwood was closed due to high water, while street flooding was also observed in Tipton.
