Law enforcement officials reported a tornado touched down briefly near Hanover (Allamakee County), but only damaged some corn fields. Elsewhere across northeast Iowa, several trees were knocked down by thunderstorm wind gusts of 60 to 65 mph and hail the size of dimes and quarters was also reported.
