A stationary front over the region produced several rounds of thunderstorms from the 16th to the 20th. Rainfall amounts for the four-day period were 2 to 6 inches. This drove the Little Wabash River at Carmi just above flood stage. The crest of 27.19 feet, just a few inches above the 27-foot flood stage, resulted in minor flooding of some agricultural bottomlands.
