Three to 5 inches of rain fell across northern Illinois between 700 AM and 1230 PM CST with additional rain falling in the afternoon. In Ogle County, Pine Creek flooded White Pines State park and a residence across the raod from the park. Roads were closed between Byron and Oregon. The sewer plant at Leaf River was flooded. Creeks overflowed their banks and basements were flooded. People were evacuated at Brooks Isle south of Oregon and the Murray subdivision near Grand Detour. About 50 homes were flooded. In Winnebago County, there was street flooding in and around Rockford. Cars were stalled and a van was capsized. Large rocks washed onto a road causing blowouts of several vehicles. Parks and golf courses were flooded in Belvidere in Boone County. In McHenry County there was flooding of streets and basements in Harvard and Richmond. It was the worst flooding in 20 years in Richmond. Nine residents had to be rescued.
