Heavy rain moves over Guam in the morning. 2.04 inches fell in a weather service employee's gage in the morning. 1.48 inches of rain fell from midnight to 1000 at the National Weather Service Office. This heavy rain was the result of surface wind flow convergence into a developing tropical disturbance to the southwest of Guam. The disturbance would become Tropical Depression 18W later in the day.
