The Hawkinsville Dispatch and News reported that lightning set fire to a double wide trailer when it struck a nearby pine tree. The bolt of lightning was believed to have traveled from the pine tree to the trailer and then through the trailer to the ground, thus starting the fire. Considerable damage to the trailer, especially the attic, and the contents was reported.
