The broadcast media reported that a 17 year old female was struck and injured by lightning on the 8900 block of Thousand Oaks Court near Heatherfield Drive in the "Town n Country" area of western Hillsborough county. The lightning charge entered the female's hand while standing on the porch of her home during heavy rain. The female reported that she had a loss of feeling in her legs and blurred vision following the lightning strike.
