Runoff from snowmelt in northern New England brought the lower Connecticut River into a minor flood from Hartford through Middletown. 34 feet at 1145 pm on the 7th, about one foot above its flood stage of 16 feet.

Runoff from snowmelt in northern New England brought the lower Connecticut River into a minor flood from Hartford through Middletown. At Hartford, the river crested at 17.34 feet at 1145 pm on the 7th, about one foot above its flood stage of 16 feet. At Middletown, a crest of 8.81 feet was recorded at 415 pm on the 7th, which is just over its 8 foot flood stage. Only minor lowland flooding was reported and no flood damage occurred.
