A cold upper low from the north produced the first significant snowfall of the season over the mountains of northwest Colorado. 6 to 12 inches of snow fell across this area, with 12 inches reported on Yellowjacket Pass. The Tower RAWS site, 10 miles east of Steamboat Springs, also received 12 inches of snow.
