A vigorous Pacific low pressure system brought areas of heavy snow to the mountains of western Colorado. Most locations received from 5 to 10 inches of snow, with slightly higher amounts reported over the central mountains. A couple of the heavier reported snowfall amounts include 17 inches at Aspen and 11 inches in Vail.
