A sharp cold front produced very strong winds across portions of southern Colorado...especially over some of the southeastern plains. Some of the higher measured wind gusts include 52 mph at both Bullseye Airfield east of Colorado Springs and Pueblo Municipal Airport. Wind gusts to 55 mph were noted at the Lamar Airport in Prowers county. 64 mph winds were measured at Springfield in Baca county. The highest measured winds of 74 mph occurred at the La Junta Airport in Otero county. Three people where blown off a jet ski in Lake Meredith in Crowley county. They washed ashore unhurt an hour later.
