Three children were injured, one critically, when lightning hit a nearby tree atop Panorama Point on Flagstaff Mountain. Lightning hit the tree, entered the ground, then struck the children.

Over 2 inches of very heavy rain caused flooding along an Interstate 76 off ramp near Keenseburg. The fire department rescued 15 stranded motorists, as high water inundated sections of the off ramp and adjacent interstate. Basements were also flooded in Keenseburg. One home reportedly had seven feet of standing water in the basement before the rain subsided.
