Flooding in California, March 6 to 7, 2000
and flooding occurred at Sand Creek and Cottonwood Creek on the northside of Visalia. In the Yettem and Strathmore areas 20 to 50 homes were threatened but no homes were reported damaged despite the extensive amount of runoff water around them.

Runoff from nearby S.Sierra Nevada foothills put extensive amounts of water into the town of Yettum...Frazier Creek was flooding portions of Strathmore...northern Exeter was threatened by Mehrten Creek...and flooding occurred at Sand Creek and Cottonwood Creek on the northside of Visalia. In the Yettem and Strathmore areas 20 to 50 homes were threatened but no homes were reported damaged despite the extensive amount of runoff water around them. Flooding along the Southern San Joaquin Valley and Tulare County Foothill interface covered pastures and numerous low-lying area roads in addition to the referenced populated centers.
